high•ly tex•tured li•brar•i•an: A person who is a specialist in library work and has curly or kinky hair.
Welcome Monique to Librarian Dreams.
1. What is your signature hair style and how do you achieve it?
I don’t have a signature style, per se. I just wash and style my hair, put a headband over it, and call it a day. I’m still trying to figure out which products work best for my hair.
2. Which books could give insight on you as a person?
I would write my autobiography, and that would speak for me. I love to read works of classical literature and I enjoy historical fiction and mysteries, and some non-fiction, but I don’t think that any of the books that I’ve ever read have spoken for me.
3. What is your role at the library?
I am the Library Technology Specialist at a community college library. My job is to ensure that all of the technology in the library is running smoothly and to work with IT when it isn’t. In addition, I teach library instruction classes and help out at the reference and circulation desks.
4. If you could organize any celebrity’s personal library, whose would it be and why?
Does Thomas Jefferson count? His library’s already organized, but I’d love to work at the Jefferson Library. 🙂 Barring that, I bet Stephen Fry has an interesting library to organize! Or perhaps Alexander Hamilton.
