WFH Anniversary

On this day last year I started working from home. I dug around in my Instagram archive to see if I could find a story from my last day in the office. This is what I found.

Despite COVID-19 being as deadly as it is, there are things I enjoy about working from home and things I don’t miss about being in a work environment. For example, I really like that work attire isn’t necessary at home and I don’t miss people randomly showing up to my desk to hold my ears hostage. I appreciate my 50 foot commute and don’t miss public bathrooms.

It doesn’t seem like working from home is ending any time soon and I’m okay with that, but I have to figure out a way to be more active that is equal to the amount of walking I was doing when my commute was an hour long process. On a regular basis I was hitting at least 8,000 steps per day without extra effort and now I’m lucky if I crack 2,000. I workout at least 5 days a week and I can still feel the affects of having a sedentary lifestyle.

I guess you can’t have it all.
