The Holds List: May

I struck out with my hold list in May. The few ebooks/audiobooks I wanted weren’t available, so instead I requested this book be purchased. I had more on my list that I wanted to request, but they only allow you a certain amount.

Publication date: May 4, 2021

“Vern—seven months pregnant and desperate to escape the strict religious compound where she was raised—flees for the shelter of the woods. There, she gives birth to twins, and plans to raise them far from the influence of the outside world. But even in the forest, Vern is a hunted woman. Forced to fight back against the community that refuses to let her go, she unleashes incredible brutality far beyond what a person should be capable of, her body wracked by inexplicable and uncanny changes.” — from the publisher’s website.

It’s just as well that I was only able to get one request in, the only books I’ve managed to read are ones I own. Still in my reading rut. The sheet masking has helped for 20 minutes bursts, but not much more.
